ABOUT THE ROLE 

Due to internal movement, a new position reporting into the Executive Assistant to the Chief People & Safety Officer has become available on a permanent basis. As a Team Assistant supporting the People & Safety Leadership Team (PSLT), you will provide high level administration and strategic support, maintain team cohesion, improving productivity, and fostering a well-organised work environment. Your support will enable smooth People & Safety (P&S) operations by managing schedules, coordinating communication, and optimising workflow. 

This permanent, full-time position is based in the Strathpine office, and you will enjoy working from home 2-3 days per week. 

Day-to-day tasks include: 

  • Diary management, meeting prioritisation, screening calls, emails and other forms of correspondence. 
  • Use initiative for prioritisation of meetings, and make decisions regarding the appropriateness of accepting invitations 
  • Timely and tailored communication to all levels as appropriate (including ELT members) and the preparation of briefs, papers, communication correspondence and support the PSLT. 
  • Undertake projects, develop annual strategic agenda items, and manage minor projects and programs of work. 
  • Book travel including plane, car, accommodation and connections including effective agile travel options for the PSLT and others as directed. 
  • Monitor, reconcile, report and approve expenses for the PSLT and broader P&S division. 
  • Adhere to, monitor and drive continual improvement to corporate initiatives, safety, processes and policies as appropriate. 

ABOUT YOU 

You will be an experienced Executive or Team Assistant who is able to expertly navigate a corporate environment at the senior level. You are known for your discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality as you will be exposed to highly sensitive information. Your extensive and diverse experience also includes: 

  • Experience in a similar role supporting a leadership team. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship building skills. 
  • Polished, dynamic communication skills, both written and verbal with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • The ability to think creatively and critically. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills across Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
  • You are also a good human who aligns to SRG’s values while also be able to have fun at work, when possible.
