We’re seeking a Payroll Officer to support our team on a 9-month max term contract while a team member works on a project. While there’s no guarantee of extension, there is potential based on business needs.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and stakeholder support, all while contributing to process improvements.

Your Day-to-Day…

βœ” Payroll Processing – Accurately process payroll in line with company policies and compliance requirements.

βœ” Payroll Administration – Complete all administrative duties related to payroll efficiently.

βœ” Compliance Support – Ensure adherence to enterprise agreements, awards, data governance, and privacy regulations.

βœ” Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and recommend solutions.

βœ” Stakeholder Management – Build trusted relationships with team members and external partners.

What You Bring…

βœ… Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous payroll processing experience, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand company
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll and superannuation regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

βœ… Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with multiple modern awards/industrial instruments
  • Retail industry experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Finance (preferred)
