About the Role

Due to an internal developmental move, an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer is now available to join our Digital & Technology team at Strathpine. Reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of protecting our computer systems, networks, and information across the Group and retail environments.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Advising, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring cutting-edge security measures.
  • Safeguarding SRG’s information systems by applying and managing security protocols across the five critical areas of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Utilising your specialist expertise to identify, protect against, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats.

Your mission is to ensure our data remains secure, confidential, and available.

Please note that this position requires some on-call availability. The successful candidate must be willing to respond to urgent issues that may arise outside of regular working hours during scheduled on-call periods.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic Cyber Security Engineer with experience in deploying security controls in large scale and distributed environments.

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience in security related technologies such as network security, cloud security, endpoint security, Identity & Access Management and Security operations
  • Proven experience and knowledge of security frameworks and regulations, including NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, ASD Essential Eight
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification (or equivalent)
  • Offensive Security certifications (e.g. CEH, OSCP, CREST or equivalent)
  • Proven track record and experience with the following technologies:
  • Firewalls, VPN
  • Mail and web security solutions
  • Security Incident and Even Management (SIEM)
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Single-Sign-on and Multifactor Authentication
  • CASB
  • System hardening and using Microsoft GPOs
  • Demonstrated experience in AWS/ Azure environments
  • Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)
  • Exposure to penetration testing
