About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Maintenance Lead to join our Altona North DC in Melbourne.

In this role, you will lead the maintenance, upkeep, reporting, safety management and financial reporting and analysis for all plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilities of the Distribution Centre (DC).

Reporting to the DC Manager, your areas of accountability will include but not be limited to:

  • Safety and risk
  • Preventive, Planned and General maintenance
  • Contractor and stakeholder management
  • Skills development for maintenance activities
  • Continuous improvement

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Background in Mechanical/ Electrical and/or maintenance and facilities
  • Strong technical understanding of basic mechanics for plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilities
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of contractor management and maintenance planning
  • Demonstrated capability to manage expenses in line with budgets
  • Knowledge of Warehouse manual handling equipment
  • Organised, proactive and self-driven
  • Ability to perform handman tasks

Due to the nature of this role, some weekend and after-hours work may be expected.
