About the Role:
- Oversee daily payroll operations, monitor workloads, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Coach and develop a team of Payroll Officers and Administrators across Australia and New Zealand, allocating tasks and supporting to deliver accurate and on time payroll
- Manage the accurate processing of payroll tax and superannuation payments monthly
- Stay up to date with legislation changes, ensuring compliance with termination processes and payroll-related calculations
- Serve as the key contact for all ABS returns and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and supporting the Payroll Leadership Team in implementing change
About You:
- Proven experience in a large, multi-site business across Australia & ideally NZ and recognised as the go-to expert for payroll operations
- Deep knowledge of payroll tax, superannuation, and all Long Service Leave Acts, legislations with the ability to navigate complex payroll matters
- Leadership experience in a payroll team—allocating work, managing performance, or strong leadership skills ready for the next step
- Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise for data analysis and reporting
- A positive, coaching mindset—naturally mentoring, upskilling, and empowering your team while fostering self-learning
