About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analytics, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing high quality commercial business partnering. This will include the development of financial plans, forecasts and performance reporting including the development of business cases for large scale organisational investments as well as analysing and reporting on the project’s key financial measures and Key Performance Indicators.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Developing long term financial plans to support in the achievement of profit creation and return on investment (ROI).
  • Developing financial plans including budgeting and forecasting for the short term.
  • Owning and delivering the monthly program financial forecast and reporting process.
  • Delivering critical business, financial, commercial analysis, and insights to drive performance.
  • Analysing and recommending business improvement initiatives to drive cost reduction and margin improvements.
  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders and actively participating in meetings with relevant Senior Leadership teams to inform and present on Commercial deliverables.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Successful track record in a Commercial Manager / Finance Business Partner capacity
  • Financial analysis and insights experience including business case development for large scale projects and benefits realisation
  • Budgeting and reporting experience for projects
  • Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through proven analysis and financial modelling
  • Commercial & operational focussed
  • Desirable: Experience in using an enterprise planning tools (Anaplan or similar) and SAP (core Finance modules)

Your advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities across internal and external stakeholders will be key to this role.
