About The Role

Reporting into the Head of People Services, a 12-month contract has become available due to parental leave for a People Partner to work 24 hours per week. As a People Partner you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to key business areas, partnering on projects related to culture, remuneration, engagement, and organizational design. You will also play a key role in contributing to the ongoing development of our resources to support HR systems and processes with a key focus on updating and improving Tier Zero, self-service resources.

This position can be based in Brisbane (Strathpine) or Sydney (Rhodes) and worked across a 24-hour/week schedule that suits you. This could be four 6-hour days or three 8-hour days for example. You will be required to work in the office at least one day to collaborate with the team (ideally Tuesday).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Consulting: Provide strategic HR advice and support to senior leaders within your assigned business area.
  • HR Generalist Support: Collaborate with HR generalists to execute life cycle activities, including remuneration reviews, respect at work initiatives, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Project Management: Contribute to people related projects, supporting various HR initiatives, and ensuring smooth execution.
  • HR System Support: Assist with the readiness for the implementation of a new HR system, through a focus on strong process foundations and data integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: support the review of resources presently available for leaders and employees and work to ensure it’s current and user friendly.

Key Requirements

  • Significant and demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist, supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and build strong relationships.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and processes.
  • Experience working in a large and complex organization.
  • Comfortable to work autonomously on allocated tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, such as SAP.
