ABOUT THE ROLE 

As a Senior Pricing Analyst at Super Retail Group, you will take on an advanced analytical role to support Pricing Managers and the Head of Pricing to make informed pricing decisions and drive the delivery of major pricing projects. You will partner with Pricing Managers who support each of the four brands to analyse data and make recommendations to the business as well as provide insights relating to pricing and promotions.

This hybrid permanent opportunity will be based in a state-of-the-art office in Strathpine with free onsite parking.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working in conjunction with the Brand teams and your Pricing Centre of Excellence colleagues, you will assist with the development and testing of new pricing capabilities to improve price & promo optimisation and trading growth opportunities.
  • Build pricing reports and dashboards to enable data driven pricing decision to be executed in market by the various Brand’s merchandise teams.
  • Develop and capture key metrics and data to measure price adoption, utilisation, and proficiency as well as markdown performance.
  • Have deep understanding of data analysis techniques and tools to provide deep dive pricing and promotional analytics support across complex categories, scenarios and KVIs
  • Complex modelling – Apply advanced statistical and analytical modelling methods to uncover insights that can drive pricing strategy decisions. Modelling may include price elasticity, seasonality, cannibalisation, basket spend impact and psychological pricing.
  • Share meaningful insights with Category Managers and other Analysts.
  • Effectively assess linked, observable patterns in the data with real life consumer behaviours.
  • Provide optimised price, promotional and clearance recommendations through identifying relevant areas of data insights.
  • Actively manage engagements with analytics partners where applicable.

ABOUT YOU 

  • As a seasoned Pricing Analyst or Data Analyst, you have an astute ability to handle complex and large datasets using SQL, Python and other coding tools and translate it into actionable insights.
  • You are adept at communicating complex data to an array of audiences in a way that is meaningful to them.
  • Experience in a comparable role within the retail industry is preferred.
  • You understand complex data and can draw meaningful insights to demonstrate implications and the impact on pricing performance.
