ABOUT THE ROLE 

In this newly created, permanent position, you will report to the Head of Operating Model Frameworks and be part of the wider Operating Model Optimisation team. As an Operating Model Specialist, you will support the delivery of operating model and organisational design initiatives driven by strategic and transformational initiatives. You'll leverage your expertise in business and job architectures to define the most optimal organisation design and guide leaders and HR Business and People Partners in developing micro-organization designs and implementation plans. You'll also act as an advisor to projects when queries arise relating to Operating Model and Business Architecture as required.

 This hybrid permanent opportunity will be based in a state-of-the-art office in Strathpine 2-3 days per week (dependent on role commitments) with free onsite parking.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review current organisation designs in terms of people, process, and cost (in line with the Operating Model Framework and guardrails) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct impact assessments of proposed changes to the operating model and business architecture from a people perspective.
  • Develop organisation designs to optimise ways of working.
  • Partner with HR and Organisational Change peers to implement and transition future operating model and organisation designs.
  • Facilitate leadership and SME discussions to co-design deliverables and plan.
  • Act as an internal Org Design Consultant to various projects and HR teams. 

About You

  • Your background as an HR Generalist, within OD, Change, or as an HR Consultant has honed your expertise in operating model or organisational design.
  • You’re comfortable working in ambiguity and direction from senior leaders and thrive in identifying opportunities to optimise how work is delivered.
  • You’re accustomed to reviewing processes and ways of working to identify better, more efficient ways that will influence the future state.
  • You ideally have a process and continuous improvement mindset with process modelling experience (but is not essential).
  • You have impeccable time management skills where you have managed multiple projects concurrently.
  • You’re experienced in both developing presentations and communication materials to people at all levels, including executives.
  • You're known for your superb stakeholder relationship building, with HR teams and other leaders across a variety of disciplines.
