About The Role:  

As the Senior eCommerce Trading and Merchandising Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the performance of our online retail sales channels by optimising content & product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional activity across our eCommerce platform. You’ll manage a team that focuses on ensuring the digital customer experience is intuitive, engaging, and profitable.

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Ownership of trading strategy: Develop and execute the online merchandising and trading strategy to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Work closely with the Marketing, Operations, and Omni-Digital teams to coordinate campaigns and promotions that align with the broader business objectives.
  • Data-driven decisions: Use analytics to monitor online performance, customer behavior, and market trends, making adjustments to improve conversion rates and AOV (average order value).
  • Website experience: Ensure our eCommerce platform is optimised for conversion by managing product categories, ensuring relevant search and filter functionality, and working on site design enhancements that improve the customer journey.
  • Promotions: Plan and execute promotional strategies that support key campaigns while ensuring compliance with ACCC regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and develop a team of 5 to deliver best-in-class eCommerce merchandising and trading performance.

About You: 

You’re a commercially minded leader who thrives on driving results in the fast-paced world of eCommerce. You’re as comfortable with spreadsheets as you are with customer experience tools, and you know how to lead a team to deliver on KPIs.

Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • Proven experience in eCommerce trading, merchandising, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of online retail, web analytics, and digital marketing principles.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders to drive the best outcomes for the business.
  • Experience using data to inform decisions and optimise the customer journey.
  • A passion for delivering great customer experiences and understanding user behaviour.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on coaching, upskilling, and developing a team.
