Role Purpose: 

Stride is looking for a passionate and talented marketing professional to work in a remote position that collaborates as part of a wider Brisbane-based Marketing team.

 

This position is instrumental in ensuring professional and consistent messaging and brand management for both Stride and the Medicare Mental Health Centres (MMHCs) that we operate. Stride currently operates Medicare Mental Health Centres in Parramatta and Launceston with new centres in Dubbo, Bathurst and Tasmania to open soon.

 

Reporting to the Marketing and Fundraising Manager, the Marketing Coordinator’s role is two-fold –

  1. To develop and deliver impactful internal communications for Stride Mental Health through writing, gathering and curating content to promote engagement and influence across a diverse range of stakeholders; and
  2. To support local marketing and content creation for our current and emerging Medicare Mental Health Centres, working closely with Community Engagement Coordinators on marketing activities that drive brand awareness.

 

Responsibilities include:

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Fundraising Manager, Operations Managers, Service Managers, and Community Engagement Coordinators to identify marketing and communications needs and action any that can be done in-house.
  • Work closely with our Marketing Partner Agency on matters that can’t be actioned in-house and participate in regular marketing reviews.
  • Provide input to the collateral design and content developed by Community Engagement Coordinators to ensure compliance with brand guidelines.

 

Internal Communication 

  • Liaise with staff across the organisation on internal communications, gathering and curating content, and distributing it in a timely manner and to a high standard (through Stride’s Intranet, Stride’s e-newsletter, (‘Pat Post’) and other channels, e.g. email). 
  • Oversee Stride’s Intranet, working closely with our IT team to continually develop the functionality of the Intranet e.g. updating the homepage design and banners, updating information, creating new tiles/ ‘Quick Links’, and brochure updates to the portal.

 

Coordination 

  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and coordination, e.g. Stride Store, couriers, merchandise, printing materials, and signage requirements. 
  • Support the tracking of inventory and coordinate merchandising, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained and available for events and service sites’ needs, e.g., order, inventory, inventory management, and distribution. 
  • Monitor internal requests and share management of the marketing inbox with your marketing colleagues.
  • Update and maintain marketing assets, including image library, artwork, etc, so they are filed correctly and easily retrievable. 

 

Other

  • At all times, this role is a brand ambassador for Stride and the services we represent, ensuring brand alignment with all signage, merchandising, local events etc.
  • Work with the Marketing and Fundraising Manager on implementing fundraising campaigns, including developing donor management processes and communications both internally and externally.

Requirements: 

Essential skills and experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or similar 
  • 2+ years’ practical experience in consumer marketing with a focus on internal communications, content creation, copywriting and brand management, with experience in a not for profit/ charity organisation being highly advantageous
  • Strong communication proficiency with exemplary writing ability
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Able to confidently and proactively engage and collaborate, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness
  • Capable of working autonomously without the direct support of a local manager and interaction with a local team (day-to-day support and interaction will be available online and in-person support will be available when the Marketing and Fundraising Manager travels to Sydney)
  • A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management and organisation skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card 
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance 

 

Desirable 

  • Understanding of the NFP/Health/Mental Health sectors 
  • Experience with fundraising campaigns and/or donor management
