Quality Assurance and Safety Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the packaging industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Quality Assurance and Safety Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Manage, develop, motivate, and lead QA Personnel

2) Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment

3) Ensure that products adhere to quality standards

4) Train and manage staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods

5) Monitor production and quality processes and troubleshoot any errors

6) Track, record and maintain quality assurance data and generate reports, as needed

7) Maintain all company SQF administrative requirements, safety programs, safety equipment inventory and perform periodic safety and quality inspections and lead the safety committee

8) Recommend corrective action where nonconformance in packaging occurs, or where environmental health and safety hazards exist

9) Interact with a variety of departments, conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling

10) Monitor raw material and environmental compliance and maintain liaison with appropriate vendors and regulatory agencies

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the packaging industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance and safety management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
