Operations Manager

Job Description

Our client, a leading packaging company, is currently seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Hire, lead, train, mentor and develop the Project Coordinator Team to ensure productivity, teamwork and professional growth

2) Foster a culture of growth, fun, entrepreneurial spirit and thinking big

3) Utilize QuickBooks expertise to manage operational transactions, including processing customer POs, receiving items, reconciling inventory, and invoicing

4) Keep clear and concise documentation of activities, including signed BOLs, packing slips, and critical project communications

5) Audit transactions to ensure compliance with company procedures

6) Conduct and reconcile month and year-end counts with partner locations

7) Implement Electronic Data Interchange solutions to streamline communication and transactions with customers

8) Drive the adoption of Microsoft OneDrive, OneNote, and SharePoint to enhance document management and team collaboration

9) Seek out automation of daily repetitive tasks where it makes sense

10) Maintain an in-depth understanding of contract packing processes and bills of materials to ensure accurate project execution

11) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging processes and efficiencies

12) Develop expertise in the documentation and task requirements of major customers and their retailers

13) Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively addressing their needs and concerns

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the packaging industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in operations management
