Job Description


Our client, a leading distribution company, is currently seeking an accomplished Turbo Machinery Technician to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:


1) Perform equipment installations and commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostic inspections, troubleshooting and repair of compressed air equipment to ensure equipment is meeting operating and quality standards

2) Establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face-to-face

3) Maintain rapport with customers by addressing complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements

4) Be responsible for end-to-end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects

5) Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects

6) Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location

7) Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests, including replacement and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers

8) Coordinate with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by extensively examining compressor facility layouts, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work

9) Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction to include training and follow-up training

10) Use hand tools and software and technology and follow schematics and engineered drawings or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units

11) Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions

12) Organize and comply with all pertinent documentation needed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to successfully manage the business-required reports

13) Manage daily business needs by identifying parts to order for repairs and determining the urgency of the requirement

14) Remain current on Ingersoll Rand products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair of compressed air systems and PLC Controls

15) Recommend parts and services to customers and assist with follow-up through to successfully acquiring customer approval

16) Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklists, and daily time sheets

17) Promote all company products, services and solutions, such as equipment, system accessories, planned maintenance, diagnostics, audits and leak detection

18) Communicate value and increase customer’s awareness of how these items can benefit their operations

19) Perform other duties as assigned


Critical Requirements


1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

2) Recent experience in the distribution industry is strongly preferred

3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
