We are currently seeking a Project Director to join our team. This role is a Full Time, 3-year maximum term position working remotely, based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Managing Director / CEO, This role will be accountable for the delivery of The Simberi, Sulphide Expansion Project, Ensuring it is achieved on time, within scope and on budget.
The opportunity
- Oversee the planning, site execution and commissioning of the Sulphide expansion, including but not limited to the process plant, wharf and other non-process infrastructure.
- Responsible for the management of cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling, and resourcing effectively to meet budgets and targets.
- Ensuring project schedules are optimised at all times, maintaining all progress metrics, monitoring monthly status reporting and maintaining quality stands.
- Manage project risks, contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory commitments
- Maintain stringent financial controls by overseeing project financials and ensuring appropriate and robust financial project controls are in place
- Represent the project to regulators, government agencies, local communities, and senior executives.

- A degree qualification in relevant discipline including engineering, commerce or similar
- Respected project management specialist in the mining industry
- International experience in mining projects
- Sound judgment, risk management ability and commercial acumen
- Experience in delivery of technically complex projects
- Demonstrated leadership in managing large technical teams and engaging with EPCM partners
