We are currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to join our team. This is a three-year fixed term full-time position at our Simberi Operation. Working a 21/14 FIFO Roster from any Australian capital city

Reporting to the Manager Maintenance you will is responsible for managing the function of the workshop/heavy equipment maintenance to ensure that downtime on equipment is minimised. You will also develop employees through leadership, training and development initiatives.

 The opportunity

  • Managing employees in a professional manner and providing leadership to employees in a consistent manner.
  • Providing maximum assistance towards meeting the maintenance and production goals by consistently completing job assignments on schedule and proficiently.
  • Managing and controlling all maintenance activities. Including but not limited to:
  • Asset Management obligations- Maintenance strategies based on baseline reliability principles and life cycle costing.
  • Budget and cost control.
  • Managing minimum spare part stock levels for main mining fleet in conjunction with the logistics department.
  • Assisting the Procurement department in sourcing equipment.
  • Maintaining a dedicated effort towards preventative maintenance.
  • Monitoring scheduled servicing to be completed on time.
  • Ensuring work orders managed correctly and closed in a timely manner.
  • Providing direct manager with analysis on equipment to ascertain the operational cost of the equipment.
  • Monitoring and providing controls to supplier repairs and services.
  • Managing all CRCS requirements related to the Mobile Maintenance department.
  • Managing effective use of available resources, including own time, in support of the delivery of the Mobile Maintenance team.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role in the resources industry.
  • Certificate III Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
  • Commercial acumen relevant to the role.
  • Able to lead and effect change through stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • Proactive with an ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in a PNG would be highly regarded.
