We are seeking a motivated and trustworthy individual to join our workshop team at Somersby. This role offers the potential to advance into a Supervisory/Team Leader position for the right candidate.

Site Innovation is offering an outstanding opportunity for a Metal Fabricator. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating minor production line equipment, assembling products, finishing products, and answering to the Operation Manager. Welding qualifications and a forklift license would be an advantage. We are looking for a self-motivated and trustworthy person to join our team and lead a small team in the future.  

What You'll Do:

• Operate minor production line equipment
• Assemble and finish steel products
• Report to the Operations Manager
• Work with various steel fabrication tasks
• Train in CNC laser machine operation
• Weld as required alongside general fabrication tasks

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a fabrication workshop
• Experience with 1-10mm gauge Mild Steel fabrication
• Ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently
• Multi-skilled across workshop duties and operations
• Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
• Forklift operation within WHS guidelines (if licensed)
• Manual handling up to 20kg
• Proficient in using production tools
• Willingness to develop CNC laser cutting skills
• Adherence to WHS requirements and company policies
• Process plant maintenance skills
• Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings
• Own transport

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding certification and/or trade qualifications (an advantage)
• Current driver's licence
• Current forklift licence (an advantage)
