Our Opportunity

Star Group is offering an amazing opportunity for a communications technician specialising in structured cabling to join our Condell Park team. We are looking for a talented individual who can take ownership of what they do and is committed to the outcomes for our clients and the business.

The Communication Technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Installation of structured cabling infrastructure and communications cabling.
  • Installation of vendor certified telecommunications infrastructure in a quality manner.
  • Commissioning and fault finding of communications infrastructure when required.
  • Liaise directly with the Communications Site Foreman.
  • Completing tasks and paperwork in a productive manner.
  • Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times.

About You

  • Valid Registered Cablers Licence (Essential)
  • Strong problem-solving skills concerning technical fault-finding.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills with an ability to build relationships.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment and complying with safety standards.
  • Candidates should have experience working within either commercial, health infrastructure, education, defence, data centre, retail and multi storey residential projects.
  • Able to work in a team environment and support and assist team members when required.
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and achieve high levels of quality with attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver's Licence to attend sites.
