Are you a talented and skilled tradesperson looking to make a significant impact in the Tier 1 construction space? Star Group is excited to invite you to join our team as we complete the John Hunter Hospital Project in Newcastle.
Project Scope: Health Infrastructure is redeveloping the John Hunter Health Campus to deliver enhanced facilities and provide additional capacity to meet the demands of the Greater Newcastle, Hunter New England, and northern NSW regions. The Acute Services Building (ASB) is a new 8-story building adjacent to the existing John Hunter Hospital, featuring:
- Approximately 65,000m² of Gross Floor Area (GFA) and 90,000m² of Gross Building Area (GBA)
- A semi-basement car park with 4 stories and roughly 45,000m² GFA/GBA
- A new podium retail pavilion with an external terrace, approximately 600m² GFA
- Multiple link bridges connecting the new ASB to the existing hospital
- Two heli pads on the roof
The refurbishment works of the existing hospital include:
- Approximately 11,000m² for new Inpatient Units
- Refurbishment of the existing main entry/drop-off area
Your Opportunity: As a Licensed Electrician, you will be responsible for a wide range of electrical works within the hospital, including:
- Conducting installations for electrical and data communications in a quality manner
- Performing fault finding of electrical and data communications when required
- Conducting scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs
- Liaising directly with clients and explaining the activities performed
- Completing tasks and paperwork in a timely manner
- Adhering to safety standards and procedures at all times
About You: We are looking for candidates who showcase Passion, Creativity, Collaboration, and Trust, and possess:
- A valid Electrical License and trade qualifications (Mandatory)
- Registered Communications and Data Cabler with endorsements (Preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills for technical fault-finding
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships
- Experience working in a commercial environment and complying with safety standards
