Who we are
The Australian Croquet Association (ACA), now Croquet Australia, was formed in the Canberra in 1992.
Croquet Australia provides the framework, policies and procedures for State associations and competitions throughout Australia, based on standards outlined by the Australian Sports Commission, international organising bodies the World Croquet Federation (WCF) and the World Gateball Union (WGU).
Croquet has four disciplines:
- Association Croquet
- Golf Croquet
- Gateball
- Ricochet
Croquet Australia organises national competitions such as the Eire Cup, Interstate Shields and individual events, as well as coordinating Australian Representative teams to compete overseas at events such as the MacRobertson Shield, Oppenshaw Team Event and World Gateball Championships.
The role
The board of Croquet Australia is seeking two (2) appointed directors to fill casual vacancies until May 2025.
The board has identified the need for the following skills and experience based on their board skills matrix:
- Leadership
- Marketing & Branding
- Information Technology & Digital Innovation
- Research Techniques & Consumer Insights
- Broadcasting & Digital Media
Directors are required to commit to an average of 2-3 hours per week, with a further 3 online board meetings up until May 2025.
