About Us

Source Workplace is an exciting, rapidly growing business that offers employee relations (ER) services to large employers across Australia. We’ve created a unique model where we provide in-house style ER services to clients. We become an extension of in-house ER teams and provide them with extra capacity or expertise.

At Source we are values driven. We don’t bill by the hour or require our people to keep timesheets. Our focus is on client experience and giving outstanding ER support. We offer a varied and exciting working environment with a flexible working policy where you choose how, where and when you work.

Our ER service is rapidly expanding and, to support this, we need another outstanding ER specialist.

The Role

As an ER Specialist, you will work alongside the Source Workplace Law team, which is comprised of 18 specialist workplace lawyers. Most of our lawyers are top tier trained and have extensive in-house experience, making us a leading national firm in this area of law.

In this role, you will do high-quality ER work for multiple large employers, across different industries, with no billable hour or timesheet requirements.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a high-performing ER specialist who is commercially savvy, highly responsive and comfortable providing clear and decisive ER support.

The role could suit someone who has experience as an employment lawyer and would like to move into an ER role (or do a combination of both).

This role can be performed remotely, or from our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Newcastle, or a combination of both.

Ideally full-time, but we are open to part-time (at least three days per week).

About You

We’re looking for someone that:

  • Has at least 4 years’ experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or Employment Lawyer.
  • Is highly commercial and comfortable giving pragmatic in-house style advice without ‘sitting on the fence’ or over-complicating things.
  • Is a self-starter who can work very quickly and efficiently.
  • Has outstanding client management skills and is passionate about delivering the best client experience possible.
  • Is a very effective and collaborative team-player.
  • Has an entrepreneurial and innovative mind-set.

What’s In It For You

  • Be mentored and build your skills in a supportive and high-performing team environment.
  • High-quality work, great clients and a wide range of professional development opportunities.
  • Interesting, varied and challenging work.
  • Work with our outstanding Workplace Law team, in a fun and highly collaborative work environment.
  • Work autonomously, but with lots of support when you need it.
  • Be part of the HPX Group and work collaboratively alongside Hamilton Locke, Australia's fastest growing law firm.
  • Regular training, social events and team retreats.
  • Freedom to choose how, where and when to work.
  • Be at the forefront of developing new ways of providing ER services.
  • No timesheets.
  • Competitive remuneration.
  • Full day birthday leave.
  • People experience programs like the Da Vinci Development Program (get an extra weeks’ leave after completing a personal development activity) and the Adventure Club (this year’s trips were to Queenstown, Hobart and Darwin).
