We are now seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across WA. About The Role:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will oversee the day-to-day engineering support on your assigned projects, ensuring all work aligns with relevant standards, specifications, and engineering drawings. You will work closely with stakeholders and have direct responsibility for budgeting, personnel, and project planning to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project scope and technical requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and construction activities for designated work areas.
- Provide engineering support and guidance to the project team.
- Develop work packs, test packs, and estimate site variations.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Perform regular audits and tests on materials and processes for compliance with regulations.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, analysing productivity factors.
- Interact with clients to interpret and execute their engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments (HSEQ, quality, commercial, etc.) to integrate project efforts.
- Ensure field variations are captured and reported on.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
- 5+ years of experience in construction or sustaining capital works including electrical and instrumentation installation.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical safety standards (AS/NZS 3000).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modelling/drawing software like Navisworks, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Experience in construction estimating and cost controlling.
- Contractor-side experience in E&I construction projects.
- Knowledge of mining processing and equipment.
