  • 50 hours per week, Mon- Fri, early knock off Fri, home every night & weekends off

SIMPEC has long-term opportunities for experienced Electricians to join our growing team. Reporting to the Supervisor (Electrical) and working locally at the Kwinana based Cockburn Cement Upgrade (CCL) Project.

Scope of work

  • Cable ladder installation
  • Running of cables both LV / MV (Low & Med Voltage)
  • Glanding of cables
  • Terminating of cables
  • Lighting installation
  • Equipment installation
  • LV MCC (Motor Control Centre) / Substation glanding & terminating
  • Earthing 

Rates and allowances include but are not limited to:

  • ASAP start, ongoing project
  • 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Early knock off on Fridays

Casual rate

  • $65.30 per hour flat
  • $2.50 per hour worked Project Incentive Payment (PIP) – paid out at project completion

Full time rate

  • $48.20 per hour with penalties
  • $17.43 per day travel allowance
  • 1.75 ordinary hours per week severance
  • $2.50 per hour worked Project Incentive Payment (PIP) – paid out at project completion

About You

  • Always lead by example with respect to health and safety on site, contributing and complying with all site safety initiatives and procedures, and embracing the SIMPEC SIMSafe culture framework.
  • Previous experience working as an Electrician on a construction project, ideally within the resources industry.
  • Hold a Construction Card (WA White Card)
  • Hold a WA Electrical licence
  • Hold a low voltage rescue and CPR first aid training
  • Hold a current HRWL with Elevated Work Platform (WP)
  • Hold Working at Heights (from within the last 2 years)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test
