The Opportunity

As we kick-off newly acquired electrical work scopes, SIMPEC has long-term opportunities for experienced Electrical Project Engineers to join our Kwinana based site team.

The Project Engineer role will work an ongoing Monday to Friday, 55-hour-week, and will be pivotal in driving successful outcomes across our electrical work scopes.


he Responsibilities

  • Work pack development
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and executing scope.
  • Oversee the scheduling of resources, equipment and materials.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
  • Mitigate risk by identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Work in accordance with the clients and SIMPEC’s procedures and specifications
  • Develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Manage technical queries and liaise with the client around solution options.
  • Strongly demonstrate and support the SIMPEC core values.


About You

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, along with prior experience in a similar Project Engineering role, ideally on a large construction project, within the resources industry or equivalent.
  • Experience in progress reporting and monitoring of key milestones.
  • Confidence and a sound working knowledge across all facets of construction project best practices.
  • Comfortable being accountable and taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface and discuss technical requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Solid computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite.
  • Analytical and innovative, with solid problem-solving skills
  • You are adaptable and confident making informed decisions, with ability to think on your feet and outside the box when required.
