About the position
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Manager to provide leadership and management over Seymour Health Infrastructure and Capital Works projects.
The position on a Fixed Term basis for an initial period of 6 months, with a possible further 6-month extension period.
The Project Manager shall ensure all project requirements are met in accordance with required building codes, OH&S standards, relevant policies and procedures. The role will continue to develop projects, documents, manage, communicate, deliver and report project focused deliverables to meet Seymour Health’s growth objectives.
- Co-ordination and administration of SH Projects, including project development to Deliver, monitor and develop of any potential major capital work future projects. Including assisting with submissions for funding to replace ageing infrastructure and equipment.
- Monitor all project plan, effectively manage issues, priorities, risks, conflicts, communications and interdependencies between contractors, SH Team and the consumer.
- Coordination of consultation with all stakeholders.
- Work closely with Facilities Manager, Project Officer, SH Executive, Department of Health (DH) and Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA)
- Ensure full compliance with all regulations relating to the Infrastructure, Emergency Management, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Infection Control, Australian Standards, Building & Safety codes, and Asset Management Accountability Framework.
- Liaise with Facilities manager, all contractors, project Architects, Site building contractor and other contractors to ensure a smooth building process.
- Report to Department of Health, Victorian Heath Building Authority and other external bodies as required.
- Ensure relevant policies, procedures and manuals are maintained, current and informative.
- Ensure monthly reports and Financial updates are compiled for relevant committees, PCG- Project control group, PMG – Project management group, Infrastructure, site consultant meetings.
- Ensure Contractor Induction process is followed.
- Participate in the emergency incident response activities, as defined within the emergency management manual, as and when required, at the direction of management.
What you bring
- At least 3 – 5 year of Project management, including the planning and delivery of projects
- Proven knowledge of current building codes, OH&S regulations, knowledge of infection prevention and control, and Australian standards.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft software, Competent in the use of Excel, Word, Email- and Microsoft Project management. Mex software.

- This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, sound analytical and time management skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
- Proven ability to manage project and time frames effectively ensuring budget skills from cost estimations to implementations and progress reporting.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate information to support projects.
- Valid Drivers Licence, WWCC, Satisfactory Police check

Qualifications / Registrations Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification or significant experience in Project management or similar field
- Good understanding of working in health with infection prevention and control principles and building codes.
- Qualifications, experience or training in OH&S highly regarded.
