About the position
Lower Hume Palliative Care currently has a vacancy for suitably qualified Registered Nurses with post graduate qualifications or experience working in palliative care to join the team on a casual basis.
This role involves working as part of the community palliative care team. The team provide assessment and support of palliative clients and carers in their home. We specialise in managing symptoms, improving quality of life and offering emotional support while collaborating with various healthcare settings like GP's, specialists, hospitals, district nursing, allied health and residential facilities.

- Demonstrated experiencing acting as a resource and role model to other staff
- Skills and knowledge to act as a support to Students on clinical placement
- Ability Communicate and collaborate with other health professionals
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in palliative care.
- Knowledge and commitment towards quality improvement activities and actively participate in departmental accreditation processes
- Demonstrate knowledge and promote the use of advanced care planning for residents/clients/patients
Ideally you will possess:
- A Valid Victorian Driver Licence (Car)
- A Working with Children Check
- Advanced communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
