About the Role

The Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) Bridge Training Faculty (BTF) stands as a world-class training facility equipped with 6 full mission simulators and 4 part mission simulators.

 

As an Assistant Maritime Warfare Instructor, you'll collaborate closely with the Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor and RAN staff to deliver premier training to Maritime Warfare Officers. Your role is crucial in operating the simulator and facilitating realistic, scenario-based training, ensuring RAN Officers receive the most accurate and effective preparation possible. Serco supports this mission with specialised training aimed at meeting these demands while helping you gain civilian qualifications in Training and Assessment.

 

 

About You

We welcome applications from Defence personnel across all Maritime/Navy backgrounds. Whether you have experience in Combat Systems (CSO), Maritime Warfare (MW), Electronic Warfare (EW), or Communications and Information Systems (CIS), we value the diverse skill sets that contribute to our goals. Required qualifications include:

 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 - SECRET defence security clearance or higher.
  • Proven military experience with a strong understanding of tactical training environments.
  • This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
