Are you passionate about shaping fair and forward-thinking workplace relations? This role leads critical employment matters across Serco’s Community Services division, with a focus on supporting diverse, high-impact services in Justice and Immigration. You’ll act as the key advisor on employee and industrial relations strategies, driving meaningful outcomes through expert legal insight, operational support, and stakeholder engagement.
As an Employee & Industrial Relations (ER/IR) Manager in the Community Services team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Leading enterprise agreement negotiations across varied business units
- Implementing effective governance for ER/IR strategies and bargaining plans
- Partnering across teams on M&A, joint ventures, and transfer of business activities
- Representing Serco in formal and informal settings including tribunals and mediations
- Advising on disputes, compliance reviews, audits, and workplace incident responses
- Supporting capability uplift through coaching, education and legal insights

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Significant senior experience in employment/industrial relations in complex environments
- Proven ability in drafting and negotiating enterprise agreements and litigation
- Legal expertise with commercial acumen, especially in bids, M&A and disputes
- Up-to-date knowledge of Australian industrial relations landscape and law
- Confidence to provide high-level advice and drive strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
