Are you ready to support critical maritime operations? As an Operations Administration Officer with ASRV, you’ll provide essential administrative support to running Australia’s Icebreaker ship, the RSV Nuyina, based in Hobart. You’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals, playing a key role in the smooth running of operational and compliance activities.

As an Operations Administration Officer, you’ll make a positive impact by:

• Supporting the ASRV Team with various administration duties, with prioritised support of the Crewing Department
• Taking meeting minutes, assisting with report preparation and keeping a range of registers and systems up to date with the latest operations information
• Maintaining the Vessel Security List as current and liaising with port security
• Administering the Learning Management System training records and assignments for shipboard inductions
• Assisting with record management for incidents and regulatory compliance
• Providing support for seafarer onboarding, certifications management, and payroll
• Providing ad-hoc administrative support onboard the ship when in port
• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain operational records and reports

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

•          A Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience

•          Excellent communication and organisational skills

•          Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new systems

•          Attention to detail and ability to prioritise work demands

•          Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams

•          Eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)

Desirable skills include:

•          Experience in maritime, high-risk operations, or related industries

•          Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and compliance processes
