As an Employee Relations Advisor in the Justice & Immigration (J&I) People & Capability (P&C) team, you’ll provide essential advice and support on employment and industrial relations matters. This role will see you working closely with Operational Leads, P&C Managers, and other stakeholders to resolve employee relations issues and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

As an Employee Relations Advisor in the Justice & Immigration team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Providing advice on major disciplinary and grievance investigations
  • Supporting employment matters in Federal and State tribunals
  • Assisting Operations management with Union consultations and employment changes
  • Ensuring effective management of employee relations cases through ER trackers
  • Coaching managers and the People & Capability team on disciplinary processes and employment regulations
  • Preparing documentation for legal proceedings, including Fair Work conciliations and arbitrations

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Human Resources, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Recent experience in a Human Resources or Employee Relations position
  • A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and industrial relations environment in Australia
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a large multi-site/multi-state environment
  • Attention to detail in handling sensitive employee matters
