Make an impact at Serco
As a Safety & Wellbeing Advisor in our HSE team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people across call centre and healthcare contracts. Reporting to the HSE Manager – Call Centres & Health, you'll collaborate with operational teams to develop and deliver safety strategies aligned to broader business goals. This is a hands on role with plenty of variety, from leading wellbeing initiatives to embedding risk management processes, you’ll help foster a safe and healthy workplace where people can thrive.
As a Safety & Wellbeing Advisor in the Community Services HSE team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Delivering adaptive safety and wellbeing programs that reduce operational risk.
- Supporting and embedding safety systems including incident and risk management.
- Building capability and awareness across contracts through coaching and guidance.
- Coordinating HSE projects, initiatives and communications to drive engagement.
- Leading incident investigations and sharing key learnings across the business.
- Monitoring and improving HSE risk controls and compliance activities.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- A tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in safety leadership, ideally 3+ years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation and psychosocial risk management.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to guide and support stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple projects with initiative and confidence.
- A genuine passion for creating safe, inclusive and supportive workplaces.
