As a Correctional Case Officer at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you will play a vital role in both ensuring the safety and security of the facility and supporting the rehabilitation of inmates. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, your primary focus will be to guide inmates throughout their sentences, helping them prepare for successful reintegration into society.
As a Correctional Case Officer, you’ll make a positive impact by:
• Maintaining the safety and security of inmates and the facility
• Encouraging inmate rehabilitation and reintegration by fostering participation in education, employment, and programs
• Performing searches, managing incidents, and providing accurate reports
• Building respectful relationships with inmates, staff, and stakeholders
• Upholding a safe and secure workplace by adhering to all protocols

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
• Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to complete it within the first year (training provided)

• Physical fitness for the role’s demands, including control and restraint techniques
• Ability to stay calm and manage challenging situations effectively
• A valid driver’s licence
