You will work with a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals on site to contribute to positive health outcomes for the Australian Defence Force personnel at Oakey Health Centre.
As a Physiotherapist , you’ll make a positive impact by:
• Providing evidence based practice Physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitation
• Providing direction on, and/or conduct exercise prescription, gym based clinical rehabilitation programs, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy related return-to-work rehabilitation services
• Splinting, plastering and fitting of orthoses or other physiotherapy prescribed devices
• Provision of instruction, advice and recommendations to Eligible Personnel and other health professionals
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Oakey Health Centre
Oakey Health Centre is located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) 3km outside Oakey. It is the training area for Australian Army Aviation and is home to the 126 Squadron (Cougar helicopters) of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. With approximately 500 members, the health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical and mental health services. It is also an emergency response to AAC. Health centre staff may be required to work across Cabarlah & Oakey. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements will determine shift lengths).

Shifts are lifestyle friendly in this Physiotherapist role, being Monday to Friday day shifts - no nights or weekends.
To be successful in this role you’ll have the following:
• current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment (or part-time equivalent)
Please note:
· You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
· You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
