This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

Join Serco’s ADF Health Services team as a Medical Officer / General Practitioner and provide high-quality medical care to Defence members at Edinburgh Clinic. You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

About Edinburgh Health Centre
Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.  The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7.  It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

Your Impact

We are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a permanent part time capacity, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 0730 to 1530.

As a Medical Officer, you will:

• Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
• Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
• Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
• Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed

What You’ll Need

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
• Minimum 2 years’ full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
• Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
