Make an impact at Serco

As a Learning & Development Facilitator in the Police Assistance Line team, you’ll make a positive impact by delivering engaging and effective training programs to new and existing staff who deliver highly essential services to the Victorian community. You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive learning environment, applying adult learning principles, and adapting content to meet diverse participant needs to achieve the contact centre’s objectives.

The first few weeks in a new role and workplace is the most memorable.  You’ll ensure our new starters have the best possible initial experience.  This role directly enables new starters gain confidence in their roles, building connection to their team, Serco and our client’s purpose and values. 

As a Learning & Development Facilitator, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Facilitating interactive training sessions, workshops, and induction programs which align with with Serco and our client’s objectives.
  • Adapting training materials and methods to cater to different adult learning styles.
  • Using your coordination skills to support the smooth planning and operation of training and upskill programs with various stakeholders.
  • Encouraging feedback and continuous improvement in training delivery.
  • Conducting observations, evaluations and assessments of new starters to ensure learning outcomes are met.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Cert IV in training and assessment (required)
  • An understanding of contact centre operations (ideally)
  • Passion and experience in supporting others to learn and develop, understand and support different learning styles
  • Ability to be available to meet the training schedule in the office environment
  • Warm and inviting interpersonal style; approachable, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Intuition and Emotional Intelligence to know who to help, what to say and to understand the needs of new starters
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using MS Office suite at an intermediate to advanced level

 

Applicants will need complete relevant security clearances and psychometric profiling as part of pre-employment requirements. All applicants need to have appropriate Australian Citizen or unrestricted work rights.
