As a Psychologist, you’ll make a positive impact by:
● Working as a part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members
● Management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning
● Supporting ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.

About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Leeuwin Health Centre (HQ)
Leeuwin is our HQ Centre for our Joint Health Unit in WA. Located at East Fremantle, 22kms south of Perth. All roles are Telehealth on location, non- patient facing, admin heavy, recall and supporting other locations. EN nursing, mental health, administration services. Great Culture within a small team. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1530 Monday – Friday.

· If this location is not close to where you reside, we may have flexible working arrangements available including FIFO, hybrid, and locum options.

As a civilian Mental Health Professional working with the Australian Defence Force, you will deliver important clinical care to those who serve in the Army, Air Force, and Navy.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable)
Please note:
· You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
· You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
