As an Operations Coordinator within our Defence team, you’ll provide critical administrative and coordination support to drive performance and manage key stakeholder relationships in your region. You’ll ensure smooth workforce operations, contributing to the optimisation of rosters, compliance, and reporting, while bringing strong administrative skills and a confident, professional manner to your daily work.

This role operates on a Monday to Friday roster from 5.30 pm to 10.00 pm, with occasional weekend and on-call requirements, offering flexibility while supporting critical Defence operations.

As an Operations Coordinator in the Defence team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing workforce planning, including maintaining accurate staff listings and facilitating leave approvals.
  • Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for new staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory training and readiness requirements.
  • Collaborating with payroll to resolve roster-related queries and ensure accuracy.
  • Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for internal and client use.
  • Supporting the regional leadership team to optimise rosters and manage workforce needs.

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional data management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong administrative capability and a confident, professional manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with tools like Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Previous administrative experience, ideally in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Experience in clinical and/or defence environments (highly regarded).
