Reporting to the Financial Controller the part-time (3 days per week) Accounts Officer - Leases is responsible for managing rental payments across the Schnitz Network, providing relevant reports, maintaining leasing systems, assisting with both budgeting/forecasting and relevant general ledger (GL) accounting. This role works with Franchisees and internal accounts to ensure that rental obligations are met and positive relationships with Landlords are fostered.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The Role Recipe:

  • Ensure store based rent is paid on time or in line with agreed terms to Landlords
  • Maintaining and building strong working relationships with landlords
  • Preparing reports on compliance with rental obligations and assist in Budget and Year End processes
  • Maintaining and updating the central leasing system
  • Assisting the accounts team with month-end 

Key ingredients:

  • Experience in Rental Administration, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable and Payables processes
  • Proficient in using office productivity tools (G-suite and Microsoft tools)
  • Advanced communications skills
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve disputes
  • The ability to work autonomously whilst also being a Team player
  • Excellent work ethic and strong accountability for tasks allocated
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
