ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Scape Finance Team to oversee the new operational assets. As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in the end-to-end accounting and finance cycle for the Scape Finance team. In addition, you will participate in financial close, analysis of business drivers, budgeting & forecasting, and working with other stakeholders in the business.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will be detailed oriented with the ability to perform the below tasks:
- Demonstrate significant proven ability to produce and run end-to-end month-end processes from transaction recording to monthly variance analysis and reporting (R2R function).
- Possess highly developed technical skills with a working understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and corporate reporting, preferably in the hospitality and property sector.
- Previous experience in a medium to large private trading company.
- Previous experience in the preparation and analysis of management and financial reports.
- High level of proficiency of MS Excel, and other MS Office products – Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience in a commercial accounting role or 5 years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm environment.
- Hold a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience with a CA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
- Previous, effective leadership experience is desirable
- Familiarity with medium to large ERP system
- Experience of working on NetSuite, StarRez, PowerBI is desirable but not compulsory.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skill and clear communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
This position is based in our Sydney HQ office and requires working on-site from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We offer flexible work options, such as starting or finishing early or working from home occasionally, subject to approval from your manager.
