ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the Technology Operations Manager role is to establish a culture of efficiency, accountability, and transparency in Technology Operations. Work closely with the Property Technology and Digital Platforms team to ensure technology services are reliable, secure and work with product owners of the core platforms to manage their ongoing operations. 

The role is a member of the Technology leadership team, that contributes to the development and execution of the Technology Operations strategy with a strong focus on continuous improvement to drive efficiency and increase our security posture. The role works closely with stakeholders across Scape including the executive management team through to front-line team members. The Technology Operations Manager is directly accountable and responsible for the following functional areas: 

  • Service Desk
  • System Administration
  • Business Application support (L1)
  • Cybersecurity

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a relevant field including vendor or industry certifications are highly regarded.
  • General knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure design, networking technologies and IT best practice guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues.
  • Flexibility with working hours when required to support the business
  • Experience implementing ITIL process, 24 x 7 support, and performing risk assessments to ensure security control are compliant.
  • Skills to continuously improve the security footing at Scape, by improving knowledge and awareness across all staff of cyber threats, adopting the ACSC Essential Eight model to improve the maturity of the IT environment and utilising technology and external services to seek out threats and insights to address potential threats. 
  • Essential knowledge Technical ability for Systems Administration including but not limited to the full Microsoft 365 environment, End User Compute, Telephony (VoIP), Standard Operating Environment management (imaging, patching, lifecycle).
  • Essential knowledge of IT security controls and Information Security including Identity providers and associated technologies (SAML etc).
  • Experience providing IT solutions in a Hospitality, Accommodation or Development environment will be highly regarded
