About the Role

Our Stronger Ground program is dedicated to empowering individuals on their Mental Health recovery journey by focusing on what they can do and the resources available to them.

As a Support Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our mission to enhance the health, social wellbeing, and quality of life for our clients. Working closely with the Team Lead, you will provide vital client-facing recovery support interventions. Your advocacy will help clients navigate their social, health, and well-being needs, ultimately fostering their independence and community participation.

This is a part-time fixed-term position (60.8 hours worked over 8 day fortnight) until 30 June 2026.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree, diploma, or certificate level qualification with work or lived experience to perform sufficiently at this level/or demonstrated work experience at the level. 
  • Personal goal planning skills that contribute to the achievement of client goals in line with the Model of Care. 
  • Skills in reflective practice and highly developed report writing using analytical reasoning. 
  • Ability to support, mentor and work alongside supporting staff members. 
  • Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and client reporting system. 
  • Ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with clients, and their wider formal and informal supports, with multiple needs and challenges. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience chaotic life 
  • circumstances such as homelessness, AOD use, family/domestic violence and mental health issues. 
  • Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the 
  • guiding principles of the organisation. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture. 

What do we offer?

  • A base annual salary aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $85,399 (pro rata).
  • 5 weeks annual leave + annual leave loading of 17.5%
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave, with flexibility to take at 32 weeks half-pay (uniquely, new staff can access 4 weeks paid parental leave after just 6 months’ service).
