About the Role

As a People and Culture Partner you’ll provide a high calibre, trusted, professional and objective advisory service to People & Culture (P&C) stakeholders, being Ruah leaders and their people. This role partners with leaders across our four integrated service offerings including Family Services, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Housing & Homelessness and Legal Advice & Representation. In this generalist role, you will focus on employee and industrial relations, talent lifecycle, and delivering outcomes to meet our strategic and operational objectives.

Overseeing a portfolio of Ruah service areas, you’ll work across all general HR disciplines in collaboration with the wider P&C team and the Service Lead - People & Culture whom is your direct leader.

This is a full-time permanent position currently based in Subiaco however will be relocating to a brand new Northbridge facility in September/October 2024 with hybrid work flexibility.

What we’re looking for

To be successful for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • You'll have experience pro-actively providing service to a broad range of P&C disciplines including recruitment, performance/absence management, industrial relations, workers' compensation, employee relations (incl workplace investigations), legislative regulations and change management. 
  • You'll know your ER/IR stuff - Fair Work, Awards/EAs, interpretation, the usual.
  • You'll be an experienced communication powerhouse - between people, in front of many people, and with data & reporting insight.
  • You're a lifelong learner because of your continuous desire to learn, grow and sharpen your craft.

Highly Desirable

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, AHRI member
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and ability to work with Aboriginal and culturally diverse people is highly desirable.  

What do we offer?

  • A base salary aligned with Level 5 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting from $97,689.

  • 5 weeks annual leave (+17.5% annual leave loading).
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave, with flex to take at 32 weeks half-pay (uniquely, new staff can access 4 weeks paid parental leave after just 6 months’ service).
