About the Role

The EPYCentre is a specialist functional recovery service for young people aged 12 to 25 years. We walk alongside young people to develop personal recovery plans incorporating life goals, education, employment, recreation and building social connections. The Team Lead position is a key service delivery role responsible for achieving outcomes for clients through our service.

As a Team Lead you will play an important role in supporting the initiative through the provision of clinical services, and effective management of the service area. You will advocate on behalf of clients served by your team within senior and executive management decision making forums.

Your role requires coaching and mentoring of your team to ensure agreed outcomes and performance indicators are achieved within the resources available.

You will be expected to apply your personal drive, professional experience, and exemplary conduct to building and sustaining a high performing team that effectively responds to and addresses client issues.

This is a full-time fixed-term position until 30 September 2024 in line with current funding with the possibility of an extension.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in provision of clinical services to clients.
  • Experience in working with clients with suicidal ideation.
  • Experience in leading a successful team within a mental health service.
  • Experience in direct service delivery to address client needs in a mental health service.
  • Experience in managing for the achievement of client outcomes in a mental health service.
  • Strong ability to respond in a timely manner to address competing client needs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including strong skills in negotiation and consultation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident public speaking and presentation style.
