About the Role
This role is based in the Karlup Service, a holistic recovery-based model aimed at supporting women and children to heal from family and domestic violence. The Karlup Service provides a range of offerings from the Ruah Centre for Women and Children (RCWC) in a state of the art-purpose-built-facility based in Perth's CBD.
The successful candidate will use their Lived Experience of family and domestic violence in an intentional way and will walk alongside the clients they support in a way that empowers them to retain self-determination. Through intentional sharing, mutuality and collaboration with the clients they support, Peer Recovery Workers will foster human connection and hope for clients to regain capacity and a sense of direction and control in their lives.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, Peer Recovery Workers will support clients on their recovery journey as they navigate services and work towards establishing an independent life for themselves and their children.
This is a full-time permanent position. Please note that this position is only available for employees who identify as female, due to the inherent requirements of the role. This is a genuine occupational qualification.
