We're looking for a People & Culture Manager to join our dynamic team on a full-time, 5-month fixed-term contract from 14 October to 14 March. You'll report directly to the People Director and work at our Melbourne office, with the flexibility to balance your work-life commitments, which includes working from home.
In this dynamic and hands-on role, you will play a key part in nurturing and inspiring a positive work environment at RMIT Online. You will collaborate with forward-thinking executives and people leaders, offering strategic HR insights that enhance our employee-centric culture. Your efforts will ensure everyone feels included, empowered, and motivated to excel. Given the timing of this contract, a significant focus will be on seamlessly managing our Engagement surveys and leading the annual Performance & Remuneration review processes.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
Remuneration & Performance
- Execute the annual remuneration and performance review processes end-to-end.
- Conduct remuneration benchmarking analysis for new and existing roles at all levels.
Engagement Surveys:
- Design, conduct, and analyse engagement surveys to gather actionable insights.
- Communicate results effectively, implement strategies to optimise employee engagement and retention and keep track of progress.
Employee Relations:
- Offer expert guidance on HR best practices, policies, procedures and relevant changes in legislation.
- Address employee grievances by conducting and facilitating resolution-focused meetings with relevant parties, ensuring all concerns are accurately and promptly documented.
HR Data & Metrics Analysis:
- Analyse and interpret HR data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
Coaching & Mentoring:
- Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees, encouraging development and growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Project Management:
- Oversee multiple HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with various teams to align HR activities with broader organisational goals.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate strong generalist HR expertise, with experience in performance management, employee relations, coaching, engagement and remuneration. You should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of deriving insights from HR data and metrics to develop effective strategies. Effective communication skills are crucial, as you’ll convey complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders. You must be highly organised with strong project management capabilities, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Empathy, adaptability, and collaboration are key traits, ensuring you can support and engage with employees and leaders effectively.
Tech Stack We Use
Experience with tools like Monday.com, Workday, Culture Amp, Miro, and Slack is a plus, as they are integral to our workflow and collaboration.
