Hybrid Environment: Weekly in the Melbourne CBD office, exceptional flexibility

A fast-paced, innovative business where you will learn, grow and thrive!

RMIT Online is on the hunt for an 11 month Full-Time Learning & Teaching Delivery Manager to cover parental leave, from Jan 2025. If you’re ready to step into a role that makes a real impact in the world of online education, this is your chance—don't let it slip away!

Why Work With Us?

Our perks are off the charts! We’ve mastered the art of flexibility with a hybrid model that lets you work remotely and pop into the Melbourne office when needed (usually weekly, but more about that later). We’re passionate about continuous learning and offer exciting opportunities to engage with industry leaders and cutting-edge technology.

Who Is RMIT Online?

We’re not just another online education provider; we’re pioneers in delivering future-ready skills through our Future Skills portfolio. By partnering with industry experts, we create engaging, practical courses designed to help learners excel in their careers. Our mission? To foster a community of lifelong learners equipped to meet the demands of the future workforce.

Our team is a diverse mix of Product Managers, Learning Designers, and Project Managers, all dedicated to creating exceptional learning experiences. We thrive on collaboration and support each other as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of online education.

About the Role

As the Learning & Teaching Delivery Manager, you'll be at the forefront of onboarding and managing our talented mentors who bring our courses to life. Your primary focus will be ensuring we have the right mentors engaged to support our learners, even during unexpected sales surges!

You’ll introduce new mentors to RMIT Online and our various platforms, providing them with the support they need during course delivery. This includes assisting with technology, navigating RMIT Online policies, and addressing specific student queries. You’ll also collaborate closely with our Learning Technology team to set up courses in platforms like Slack, Zoom, and Canvas.

Your role is crucial in managing mentor payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing for our casual staff. You’ll be the go-to person for questions and support, fostering relationships across teams to ensure smooth operations.

Critical Skills & Traits You’ll Bring:

  • Detail-Oriented: With over 100 mentors and numerous courses, your attention to detail will shine as you manage various schedules and requirements.
  • Excellent Communication: Build strong relationships with mentors and stakeholders across the Future Skills team, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • Digital Savvy: Your interactions with mentors will be online, so a knack for setting up and managing digital course environments is essential.

Why This Role Rocks:

This is not just a job—it’s a significant opportunity to influence RMIT Online and work with a diverse pool of mentors. You’ll gain exposure to technical innovations in online education and collaborate with various teams, broadening your expertise and skillset.

Our Hybrid Work Vibe:

Your first week of onboarding will be spent in the Melbourne CBD office, but after that, flexibility is the name of the game. While we don’t have set office days, the requirement is weekly, however, many of the team like to come in around two days a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the most popular, especially when Melbourne isn’t throwing its famous 3-degree, rainy days our way! Wednesdays are also a good option if you're looking for more in-office buzz.

We make it a point to catch up in person weekly and aim to time this so we can attend our monthly Showcase and All-Hands meetings. These events are packed with snacks, drinks, and plenty of fun! Additionally, we have quarterly Connection Sprints, where we spend two days focused on team building, collaboration, and creating shared experiences for everyone to enjoy.

Ready to Apply?

Some might think cover letters are outdated, but we see them as a test of your attention to detail—a critical skill for this role! So, tell us:

  • Your approach to workforce planning—how have you engaged and managed a diverse group of people across various roles?
  • How you feel about Ramen, and any recommendations you may have?

And of course, feel free to sprinkle in a bit of your personality! Join us at RMIT Online and help shape the future of education!
