To continue delivering on this commitment, we’re looking for a dedicated Tracks Technician to join our Auckland team!

What does a Tracks Technician do you ask?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out regular maintenance across a variety of walking tracks and trail networks
  • Responding to maintenance requests and completing tasks within agreed timeframes
  • Assisting with inspections and contributing to condition reporting
  • Identifying and reporting any issues that require larger-scale repairs or improvements
  • Maintaining track surfaces, including top-ups and basic surface repairs
  • Cleaning and performing basic repairs on structures and drainage systems
  • Repairing and reinstating edge boards where needed
  • Managing vegetation and weed growth to ensure safe access
  • Removing hazards to keep tracks safe and user-friendly

This role focuses on tracks in the Rodney area, so being based North is preferred.

What we're looking for

  • A good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A solid understanding of health and safety practices
  • A current full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual
