About the Centre 

The Boroondara Sports Complex is a large sports centre, housing three outdoor pools include a heated 50 metre lap pool, a shaded program pool, and a dive pool with a five metre dive tower and one and three metre springboards. Beautiful Centre located conveniently within walking distance from public transport, with access to childcare and café at a discounted rate. All staff at The Y receive complimentary full membership to any YMCA within Victoria.

About the Role 

Boroondara Sports Complex is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable netball umpire to join our team at the centre. Our netball competition attracts participants who want a social environment to get active with their friends. 

You will be an experienced umpire who will encourage the social aspect of the competition while keeping the game under control and in line with the rules of the game. You will also be committed to the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

This is a Casual position with an hourly rate of $39.05 per hour + super.

About You 

As a netball umpire supervisor you will have:

  • A passion for the game of netball and knowledge of the rules
  • A friendly disposition and the ability to relate with others
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, lead by example and pitch in when required
  • Netball umpire qualifications desired, but not essential

Qualifications

  • C-badge or higher (desired)
  • Experience umpiring netball games (required)
  • First Aid & CPR certificate (required)
