About the Centres

Moira Shire Council has a number of aquatic and recreation facilities that are managed by YMCA Victoria. They include two stadiums: Cobram Sports Stadium and Nathalia Sports & Community Centre; an indoor fitness and aquatic centre at the Numurkah Aquatic & Fitness Centre; Seasonal Swimming Pools at Yarrawonga, Cobram, Strathmerton, Numurkah and Nathalia; and the Yarrawonga Foreshore Kiosk and Splash Park.

About the Role 

As a Senior Centre Coordinator, you will manage our Customer Service, Pool Lifeguard, Duty Manager and Operations Officer teams. You will oversee recruitment and onboarding for your team and support with employee training and development in addition to rostering and timesheets. You will ensure the daily operations of the centre are in line with contractual requirements, quality systems and industry guidelines. You will manage Health & Safety, Risk and Environment with the support of the Operations Officer You will oversee all facility maintenance and strategic asset management including contractor relationships. You will develop and optimize facility hire opportunities and manage all associated budgets and reporting.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $74.789 per annum + super, experience dependent.

About You 

• 2-3 years leadership experience in aquatic facility operations.
• Your demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills enable you to inspire and engage our duty manager team.
• You possess strong organisational and multitasking abilities, allowing you to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks.
• You will have a comprehensive understanding of risk management practices and safety management systems

Essential Qualifications   

• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Aquatic Technical Operator Completion
