About the Pools

Moira Shire Council has a number of aquatic and recreation facilities that are managed by YMCA Victoria. These include the Numurkah Aquatic and Fitness Centre and seasonal swimming pools at Yarrawonga, Cobram, Strathmerton, Numurkah, Nathalia and the Kiosk at the Yarrawonga Foreshore.

About the Roles- funding for role qualifications may be available

Pool Lifeguards- as a pool lifeguard, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe.

Duty Managers- as a Duty Manager, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift.

Swimming Teachers- as a Swim Teacher, you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.

Cafe Attendants- as a cafe attendant, you will be responsible for food and beverage preparation and service including; cash handling, food handling, cleaning and adhering to occupational health and safety standards (role only available at the Yarrawonga Foreshore)

Each of the above roles require different qualifications which must be held or willing to be obtained by candidates before they commence work.
